The department IT in Production und Logistics deals with research and application of information technology in production and logistics with focus on:

  • Models: business processes, system architectures, optimization and simulation
  • IT-Systems: interoperability, identification standards, Web-Technologies
  • Production and Logistics: system engineering & follow-up, networked companies, control systems

The research gets imparted in our courses for students with majors mechanical engineering, logistics, industrial engineering and informatics.

As part of German and European research projects we investigate recent methods and tools of information technologies along with our partners and search for solutions to problems of production and logistics in operational context.
