Dr.-Ing. Christian Knobloch

Christian Knobloch studied electrical engineering at TU Dortmund University and completed his doctorate at the Chair of Software Engineering at Ruhr University Bochum on the subject of "Business Intelligence Components". He is currently working on his habilitation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at TU Dortmund University on the topic of "Modeling Digital Ecosystems" and will be giving the lecture of the same name in the summer semester with a focus on use cases in the automotive sector. In this domain, as a partner of Knobloch & Gröhn GbR, he advises both German and European companies, associations and authorities on positioning and dealing with an increasingly autonomous, networked and software-defined vehicle.

He has developed concepts such as "The car as SOTP - secure, open, telematics platform" and "Dynamic Governance" for an increasingly digitalized automotive market.

He is a participant in EU initiatives such as "CITS-Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems", "CCAM- Connected Cooperative Automated Mobility" or the "Subgroup Autonomous/Connected Vehicles", works on corresponding standards, concepts and draft legislation such as the Data Act or the SSL (Sector Specific Legislation) and writes studies on technical trends and developments in the sector.
